Electrium’s journey towards Net-zero

For more than a year both sites: Sharston Road in Manchester and our distribution centre in Hindley Green, Wigan, have newly installed biomass heating systems.

Both plants use woodchips for heating instead of natural gas. These woodchips are from a sustainable UK source and provide more than 90% of the annual heat required.

As we consider more natural growing resources, we become more climate neutral.

Total savings together are around 700t CO2 per year.
