2020 And Beyond (1)

How Electrium wants to work with you in 2020 and beyond

Having launched a new look and identity for the business at the end of 2019, Electrium’s recently appointed Head of Sales and Marketing, Ian Hunter, talks about the vision for Electrium, having drawn on his 40+ years in the industry and Electrium’s in-house expertise to steer the company in a new direction for 2020 and beyond.

Electrium is here to do business, and while people know our brands: CrabtreeWylexVolex Accessories and Appleby, they don’t always know the company that sits above them.

That’s something we want to change. We wanted to kick start this new look Electrium with a new logo and this was one of the things we really wanted to get across. The strength and heritage of these four brands, coming together under the Electrium banner.

A new approach for the future

With over 300 years of heritage between them Electrium’s brands carry a lot of clout in the marketplace, but brand recognition alone doesn’t make a company good to do business with, so we want to make certain we’ve got that covered off too! This is why we’re modernising our commercial philosophy and injecting some colour and energy into the business – a new approach for a new marketplace.

While Electrium will continue to work with our wholesale partners as our key route to market, our sales force has been restructured in order to better serve the needs of our customers.

By internally restructuring we will be able to offer better flexible trading, wider access to our full range of brands, and our wholesale partners will be able to leverage their spend across our brands.

Embracing the digital frontier

Additionally, with the rise of online sales, and the demands of the modern contractor, we are also developing our digital services so that our customers have the best information at their fingertips – from consumer unit specs, to sales tips for introducing new devices to end users and advice on the latest regs and updates. Our digital presence will act as a repository for contractors and as an extended sales tool for wholesalers.

Working with you

Electrium is making all these changes so that, going forward, customers will find us easier to do business with. We look forward to continuing to work and building on our relationships with existing wholesale partners as well as getting to know and working with new customers that want to explore our new ways of doing business.

We are Electrium. We are open for business.
