Supporting our communities and colleagues
Here at Electrium we strive to give something back to our local communities. We also support our colleagues, wherever we can, with their own activities such as raising awareness and funds for charities close to their hearts.
Our CSR activities are an important part of our business ethics and the activities that we do will help local communities and our people to grow.
We are proud to share with you the two most recent colleague run CSR projects.
The Great Glencoe Challenge
Our colleague Steve Tiplady took part in the arduous ‘Great Glencoe Challenge’ in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK.
After losing his brother, David, to pancreatic cancer, Steve and his family decided to take on the challenge to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
The challenge saw the team cover 26.2 miles by walking, trekking, hiking, and wading through a bog to reach the foot of Ben Nevis.
With just under £8,000 raised so far, congrats to Steve and his family on this fantastic achievement!
Nurturing nature at Cannock Chase
As part of our CSR activities, we regularly visit areas of Cannock Chase, near our head offices in the UK, to support the growing nature reserve.
During July, colleagues headed over to the Memorial Orchard at Cannock Chase to help with vital work and maintenance required.
Our staff worked hard constructing benches, planting trees, and adding three new memorial plaques. One of which was in tribute to our former Managing Director, Paul Fisher, who sadly passed away last year.
